Wardlaw's Commitment to the Claims Community: A Legacy of Giving Back Since 1965

Community involvement has always been at the heart of Wardlaw Claims Service. We don't just operate in these communities; we live in them. Our founder, Pat Wardlaw, ingrained this commitment to giving back from the very start of the business in 1965, a legacy that his children, Mike, Rebecca, and William Wardlaw, have proudly continued since taking over the business in 1993.

Over the years, Wardlaw has participated in and sponsored numerous charitable events and organizations. One of our most significant annual contributions is serving as a collection and donation site for the Waco, Texas Food for Families event, which helps provide essential food items to local families in need.

We are also proud sponsors of the American Family Insurance Steve Stricker
Foundation, which supports charitable organizations that focus on building strong families and healthy children in communities across Wisconsin and Illinois. Additionally, we sponsor the Assurant United Way 5k, an annual event that funds United Way's mission of advancing education, income stability, and healthy living initiatives.

Our commitment to community involvement extends far beyond these major events. Wardlaw has a long history of supporting various local organizations, including:

  • ARC of McLennan County: Supporting citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children: Advocating for vulnerable children in foster care
  • Foster Village Waco: Supporting children and families in foster care
  • Unbound Now: Supporting survivors and communities in the fight against human trafficking
  • Santa Paws: Supporting Animal Rescue
  • American Cancer Society Relay for Life
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Heart of Texas Fair & Rodeo
  • Jimmy Watts Memorial Golf Tournament
  • Rotary Club of Northwest Waco Texas
  • McLennan Community College (MCC) Foundation
  • Texas State Technical College (TSTC) Foundation
  • University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center

Our dedication to our community has been recognized and celebrated. In 2009, the Baylor University Institute for Family Business honored Wardlaw as the winner of the Texas Family Business of the Year Award in the Small Family Business category. This prestigious recognition is a testament to our commitment. We were also proud finalists for the same award in 2008.

In addition to our charitable contributions, we have showcased our community spirit through participating in events like the Orlando Claims Association’s CE SEminar & BBQ Cook-off, where we have been multi-year winners in many of the categories.

At Wardlaw Claims Service, we firmly believe that our success is intertwined with the strength and well-being of the communities we serve. By continuing our legacy of community involvement and supporting a diverse range of charitable organizations and events, we strive to make a tangible, positive impact on the lives of those around us. We are committed to contributing to the overall vitality of our hometown of Waco, Texas, and beyond.
